Finding time

Reading is an Extracurricular activity (The Well-Watered Woman by Gretchen Saffles)

As mother’s day approaches, my favorite Christian book store recently sent me a few emails regarding the books they have on sale for the week. I was so excited to see the prices and thankful for the email… until I realized I haven’t been able to finish the book I had recently purchased from them. In fact, I had only finished the introduction! This morning I opened up the book, that had been cleverly hidden in my tote bag, and I opened it up to chapter one. Just then my three year old poured cereal and milk on my one year old’s high chair!

I began thinking, I am sure these books are great, but who has time to read them! I enjoy audible but I miss the feeling of real pages and being able to reread pages easily when I need to! I love self help books and books for encouragement, especially Christian ones, but I will be darned if I ever get to finish one! Once I am finally finished I just know I will have wished I had read it sooner!

Let me not mention the devotional I began a week ago! Does it count if I restart? 😁😄
